Volunteer Tools for Neighborhood Associations

Plan the job. Fill the shifts. Know who showed up.

Set up your cleanup, block party or work day, let neighbors take a shift in seconds, and keep the record.

A neighborhood association is mostly volunteers doing small jobs well: a cleanup, a block party, a snow-shoveling list, a newsletter. This page shows how to line those jobs up and let neighbors sign up in seconds.

What you run, and how the site helps

Cleanup days and plantings

Write down the jobs, give each a crew lead, and set the shifts.

How the site helps: Lay the cleanup out as jobs with shifts, and neighbors see the open spots and sign up for the one they want.

Block parties and yard sales

Setup, food, games and cleanup all need hands at different times.

How the site helps: Give setup, food, games and cleanup each their own shift, then use check-in on the day to see who has arrived.

Welcoming new neighbors

A visit and a card go a long way, and they work best when a few people share them.

How the site helps: Neighborhoods on the site help people meet the people on their street, and the free welcome card gives you something to hand a new neighbor at the door.

Meetings and records

Keep a record of what got done and who helped, so next year starts ahead.

How the site helps: After each project you have a record of hours served, people involved and work finished.

Do volunteers need an account?

No. Volunteers pick a shift and sign up in seconds, without creating an account.

Do we need a new website?

No. Your organization gets its own page on neighborpowered.com the day you connect, and you can add a link, button, WordPress block or embed to the website you already have.

Can another group join our project?

Yes. A project can list more than one participating organization, and they share recruitment.
