Organization Terms
Last updated August 5, 2026
These terms apply in addition to the general Platform Terms to any organization with a hosted portal on Neighbor Powered.
Verification
Before your portal and projects can go public, we verify your organization's identity — organization name and type, an authorized contact, and either your EIN or a supporting document. We may ask follow-up questions before approving or activating your account. We'd rather take a little longer than approve an organization we can't actually verify.
What you're responsible for
As the hosting organization, you're responsible for the projects you publish — screening and supervising volunteers, following any applicable safety and insurance requirements, and directing the actual work. Neighbor Powered provides the planning, scheduling, and communication tools; it does not supervise your projects, employ your volunteers, or carry insurance on your behalf.
Sponsoring an individually-proposed project
An individual may propose a project idea without an organization behind it. That idea stays unpublished — it cannot recruit volunteers or go live — until a verified organization like yours agrees to sponsor it. Sponsoring a proposed idea makes you its responsible organization under these same terms, exactly as if you'd created it yourself.
Pricing
Founding organizations pay a one-time $99 activation fee and $15/month, honored for the defined founding cohort (capped at 50 organizations or December 31, 2026, whichever comes first). This introductory price is a founding-cohort rate, not a permanent commitment to that price for every future organization that joins the platform.
Good standing and termination
We may suspend or close a portal that misrepresents its organization, fails verification, repeatedly violates the Acceptable Use policy, or puts volunteers at risk. You can close your own account and request data deletion at any time.
