Acceptable Use
Last updated August 5, 2026
Neighbor Powered exists to help communities plan and complete real, safe, useful work together. That means the platform is not for:
- Anything illegal, fraudulent, or that misrepresents who you are or what organization you represent.
- Discrimination against anyone based on race, religion, sex, national origin, disability, age, or any other legally protected status.
- Projects, tasks, or recruitment outside the scope of legitimate, supervised community work — this isn't a general job board or a way to solicit unrelated services.
- Attempting to bypass an organization's verification, safety requirements, or insurance obligations.
- Harassment, threats, or abusive behavior toward other members, organizers, or volunteers, including in community posts and private messages.
- Collecting or reusing another member's contact information for purposes unrelated to a project they signed up for.
- Uploading content that is obscene, defamatory, or infringes someone else's rights.
Reporting a problem
If you see something that violates this policy — on a project, in the community board, or in a message — use the in-platform report option where available, or email crousebr@waldenwoods.com directly. Reports are reviewed by a person, not resolved automatically.
What happens after a report
We review reported content and accounts and take action proportionate to what happened — anything from a warning to suspending posting privileges to closing an account, depending on severity and whether it's a repeat issue.
