Volunteer Tools for Food Pantries and Meal Programs
Plan the shifts. Cover the week. Know who showed up.
Set your sorting, packing and serving shifts, let neighbors take them in seconds, and keep verified hours.
A pantry or meal program depends on steady hands: sorting, packing, serving, driving, cleaning up. This page shows how to cover each shift and thank the people who give them.
What you run, and how the site helps
Weekly pantry and meal shifts
Sorting, packing, serving and cleanup repeat every week and need a reliable crew.
How the site helps: Set your sorting, packing and serving shifts, and the site shows live open spots and sends reminders so the week stays covered.
Food drives
A drive needs drop-off hours, a sorting day and a pickup. Each one is a shift.
How the site helps: Plan the drive as drop-off hours, a sorting day and a pickup, each with its own shifts and its own checklist.
Event-day check-in
Know who is on the floor and for how long.
How the site helps: On the day, check volunteers in and out on a phone or tablet, and their hours are verified and thanked automatically.
Fundraising
A little extra funding can keep the shelves stocked.
How the site helps: A connected organization can start a local Community Fund for the program; the site takes no fee and never touches the money.

Questions
Do volunteers need an account?
No. Volunteers pick a shift and sign up in seconds, without creating an account.
Do we need a new website?
No. Your organization gets its own page on neighborpowered.com the day you connect, and you can add a link, button, WordPress block or embed to the website you already have.
Can another group help with our drive?
Yes. A project can list more than one participating organization, and they share recruitment.
