Volunteer Management for Congregations
Plan the work. Fill the shifts. Know who showed up.
Run your meal wagons, outreach days and work days from one place, with sign-up, check-in and hours served.
Your congregation already does a lot of good: meals, rides, work days, welcome visits. This page shows how to run that work from one place, so the people who give their time can find a shift, show up and be thanked.
What you run, and how the site helps
Meal wagons, rides and welcome visits
Care and welcome teams do some of the most important work in a congregation. A shared schedule keeps it from resting on one person.
How the site helps: Your care and welcome teams can run meal wagons, rides and welcome visits from one place, so the schedule is shared and no one carries it alone.
Outreach and work days
A work day, a food drive or a yard-help morning goes better with the jobs written down and a shift for each.
How the site helps: Break a work day into phases, tasks and shifts, and people sign up for the shift that fits them, with reminders sent ahead of time.
Small groups and ministries
Neighbors are looking for a place to belong. Let them see what you offer and find a way in.
How the site helps: List your ministries, Bible studies and small groups so neighbors can find them and join.
Event-day check-in
Greeting people at the door and knowing who is there is easier with a sign-in on a phone.
How the site helps: On the day, check people in and out on a phone or tablet, and their hours are verified and recorded for you.
Working with other congregations
Some jobs are bigger than one building, and shared projects spread the load.
How the site helps: Add another congregation to a project as a participating organization and recruit together, and share one community calendar with other congregations.
Helping a family through a hard time
A casserole and a ride matter, and sometimes a family also needs the congregation to rally around a gift.
How the site helps: When a family in your congregation goes through a hard time, your congregation can run a Community Fund for them: gifts go through Givebutter straight to the congregation, and Neighbor Powered takes no fee and never touches the money.

Questions
Do volunteers need an account?
No. Volunteers pick a shift and sign up in seconds, without creating an account.
Do we need a new website?
No. Your organization gets its own page on neighborpowered.com the day you connect, and you can add a link, button, WordPress block or embed to the website you already have.
Is it only for members of our congregation?
Not at all. Neighbors can find your ministries and small groups and join them. Members of the community are 18 and over.
What does it cost?
A congregation pays $20/month or $200/year, plus $99 one-time for activation and verification. There are no per-volunteer charges, and neighbors are free.
